Volunteers Grow Communities

The Oxford County Museum School is a not-for-profit community museum created for the purpose of preserving, exhibiting and interpreting artifacts and archival materials that reflect the educational history of Ontario and are of historical interest to the County of Oxford. Volunteer opportunities are available for people of all ages.  Students looking to fulfill their volunteer hours can do so in a variety of positions.

Potential projects include:

  • Educational and children’s program delivery
  • Exhibit preparation and design
  • Special events assistance
  • Fundraising initiatives
  • Marketing
  • Board Member

Our newest volunteer activity - be part of our social activities.  This is a great opportunity to help us become part of the vibrant community of Ingersoll and area.  Special events require volunteers to come out and help with small tasks such as inviting visitors into the Museum School to see our exhibits, helping sell snacks during a festival, or organizing fellow volunteers.

Persons interested in volunteering should enjoy working with others, and have some time during the week or weekend they would like to devote to helping in any one of a variety of tasks.  If you are enthusiastic, organized, creative, have good written and computer skills, and exhibit a willingness to learn, we would be thrilled to have you join us.  If you are only one of the above, we still would love to hear from you!
